Project Description

In the Read Out Loud Project students record short stories, articles and poems to help other students who have difficulty reading text by themselves. Students will begin with the freshmen archetype packet and proceed to other required English short texts. Once the required English readings are complete, we will solicit requests from other departments for next step readings. Students can record using the Dill software in the language lab and in Room 503. Online Voice Recorder - creates mp3 files which can be downloaded to the desktop The readings will live on a website created for the purpose that students can download and listen to on their own devices. Embed the google docs of the text and input the mp3 files next to it, so kids can read and listen simultaneously. There is a meeting for volunteers on MARCH 11th (3/11) at 3 pm in room 147.
