Project Description

Drumlin Farms needs help for its “Giving Thanks for Nature and the Senses” event on Friday, November 28 – the day after Thanksgiving. Here is a description of the event: Looking to start a new nature-oriented family tradition this holiday season? Join us on Friday, November 28th from 10am to 1pm for "Giving Thanks for Nature and the Senses," an outdoor alternative to the post-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy. Follow our map on a nature walk though the sanctuary as local artists give trailside performances related to the “giving thanks” theme. Children and adults will be invited to create their own expressions of appreciation for their five senses and the beauty of the natural world around them, interacting with storytellers, musicians, poets, sculptors, and other visual artists. Co-hosted by Mass Audubon and the Musquetaquid Arts & Environment program. Volunteers will lead children’s arts and crafts projects, and assist various artists with their performances and activities. This is mostly an outdoor event. There is a morning volunteer session (9:00 to 12:00) and an afternoon session (11:00 to 2:00). You can volunteer for one or both sessions. Please email (address redacted) with any questions and if you plan to volunteer!
