Project Description

Do you like working with computers? Are you interested in how new programs are tested and developed? Do you want to learn more about what it takes to plan a city complete with parks, businesses, houses, and places to shop?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we would like to invite you to join us as we pilot the latest version of Land Science; a virtual land planning internship that is based right here in the town of Lowell, Massachusetts!

This is a great opportunity for students in grades 8-12 interested in computers, conservation and land planning to practice the skills of professionals in the field. You will join a regional planning firm as a virtual intern and gather information from stakeholder groups as YOU design a land use plan for a community in Lowell!

They've added some new features to the game, So now not only are you playing the game, your feedback will help in the development of the game for future versions!

Land Science at Mass Audubonís Drumlin Farm will run in Lincoln, MA during the weeks of November 28th through December 9th. The commitment is approximately 12 hours, and would happen over a couple of afternoons after school and one weekend day. IF you're interested or want further information please contact Robin Stuart at 781-259-2217 or (address redacted) . Respond by November 4th!
