Project Description

Kidstown is a volunteer-run program at Grace Chapel in Lexington.

Each Sunday, church members and members of the community volunteer to help watch/take care of the 800+ children of church-going parents.

There are TWO services in which you can help out: 9:15 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. where childcare (Kidstown) is provided. Currently, they are looking for 9 people to help at 9 AM and 11 to help at 11 AM. The ages of the children range from infants to elementary-age. Grace Chapel has a need for volunteers to help out on Sundays at Kidstown so it would be great if you could serve! The job may range from playing with the children to helping out at story time and giving out snacks.

Each NHS member will receive 1-2 hours each time they serve, depending on when the services end (and when parents pick up their children). Kidstown runs every Sunday throughout the school year, so if you are available to come every week, that would be great.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me at (address redacted) or the Kidstown coordinator, Barbara Burrill, at (address redacted).

Please note that you do not need to be a member of the church to volunteer.

**I will email you or Barbara will email you when you should come in to interview and sign out an application form**
