Project Description

Each Sunday afternoon in January, February, and March, Nashoba Valley hosts 1.5 hour ski and snowboard lessons for kids with special abilities. They need volunteers every week, and the number of kids they can host is restricted by the number of instructors who show up. The skiers are beginners, and it's a pretty straightforward job.

If you are comfortable working patiently with kids and you believe you have adequate ski/snowboard experience, please sign up. You will receive an availability sheet where you check off the weekends you can participate throughout the season to help with scheduling. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR EVERY WEEK. Also, every two weeks you volunteer you get a free lift ticket. There will be an introductory meeting sometime in early December, so try to sign up as soon as possible.

The head of the program is Steve O'Keefe, and you can reach him at (address redacted)

There are 8 NHS members participating in this project.
