Parade Ambassadors are community volunteers who carry a sponsor’s banner in front of a marching unit during the afternoon parade. As Parade Ambassador, you are part of one of the Town’s most important traditions.

Parade Ambassadors assemble on Patriots' Day at the East Lexington Fire Station at 1:15 p.m. Members of the Celebrations Committee greet you, assign you to a team (if you are not already part of a team, you can request to be with friends), give you your banner, and escort you to your place in the parade lineup.

You are expected to complete the entire 2.5 mile parade route which takes approximately 1 to 2 hours start to finish, depending on your placement in the lineup.

You get 4 hours of community service at the end. It is pretty fun. If you sign up you'll receive an email one or two weeks before the parade with more detailed instructions.
