Project Description

Are you interested in science? The Y.E.S. program is a great volunteer opportunity for you. It is a 12-week, fun, extracurricular science program for 4th grade Bridge School students taught by Larry Hill. The students will explore magnetism, electricity, and many other fun aspects of science. Some of the projects include electromagnetic motors, catapults, and sun-dials. Towards the end of the program each student will build his/her own rocket in class and the course culminates with a "shoot" where the child will launch their own rockets! Many of you probably took this class with Larry.

We need high school or middle school volunteers for each class. The classes are held in Bridge School in Spring 2016, starting Feb 23 on Tuesday from 3:15-4:45 pm.

To volunteer to be a helper in this program, you can sign up at:

You can sign up for as many days as you like, although we would prefer to have you there most weeks if you can. Email (and optionally your phone number) is important in case we need to contact you with updates, such as cancellation due to bad weather.

Thank you,

Nirai Arunachalam YES Program Coordinator
